Welcome to beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona and the surrounding metropolitan area for the 15th Annual Hostage Negotiations Conference. The Scottsdale Police Department has spent over a year working diligently to ensure that you have an enjoyable and successful training experience.

This week is a perfect opportunity to refocus and remind ourselves why we in law enforcement do what we do.  While the thanks received can be few and far between, the reward is great, and even in difficult times the public is very appreciative of what law enforcement officers accomplish in this noble profession.

The conference includes many seminars and incident debriefs that provide meaningful and high quality training to help enhance your tactics, leadership, and professionalism.

Please join us on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. in the garden area of the Chaparral Suites for our co-host night, sponsored in part by ETGI. Food and drinks will be served.

Don’t forget to go to:http://cnt.ntoa.org/ (coming soon) and save it as an app on your phone. It is simple to use and provides a wealth of conference information, including social events, instructor bios, recommended establishments and exhibitors.

Thank you to Sgt. Matt Pearson of the Scottsdale Police Department, NTOA CNT Section Chair Jan Dubina, and Ben Wetzel of the Phoenix Police Department and the dozens of other personnel who have assisted in the planning of this conference. Without their tireless efforts, this event could not happen.

And finally, the NTOA truly thanks you for your attendance and participation and for all that you do in defense of this and other great nations. Have a great time this week and stay safe!

Sincerely,

Don Kester
